The most common mistakes are bundling parts and labour into a flat fee, then losing clients who think the labour is overpriced; skipping the permit to save time, then being on the hook when the home fails inspection at resale; not labelling the panel and mapping circuits, leaving the client with mystery breakers and a poor impression; and invoicing days after the job, by which point the client has forgotten the scope and questions every line. One practical tip: take fifty percent upfront on panel upgrades to cover the panel and breakers.
